Our History

It all began in 1956 when Topper Linen and Uniform Service was established by Ed Topornicki in the basement of his home on Fern Avenue. Alongside his wife Anne and mother Josephine, he was driven by entrepreneurial spirit, and purchased $2000 worth of linens and uniforms to service his first seven customers. In 1967, he bought a small lot on 6 Mulock Avenue and built a 5000-square-foot laundry. Through six decades of growth, Topper has continued to expand and still remains in the Junction area. Today, Ed’s son, Tim Topornicki continues to lead the company.

After 60 years of serving linen and uniform needs, honesty and integrity have become an integral part of who we are. Our past has taught us customer’s needs come first, and we endeavour to satisfy all requests. We understand business changes, and tailor our programs to better meet your particular needs. Staying competitive in our industry requires efficient processes, up to date technologies, and consistent product investment.

“The bitterness of poor quality and service remains long after the sweetness of low price.”

-Ed Topornicki, Founder, Topper Linen and Uniform Service
